After all our efforts to keep our goldfish, Butch, alive yesterday he sadly died!  However it really did amaze me as after we'd revived him he swam around for the next 3 hours then started slowing down and floating to the top again. We kept getting him to move, as fish need to move to get oxygen through their lungs to live, but eventually we had to go out and when we returned Butch was floating and definitely dead. :(( We gave him a "burial at sea" in the River Thames and really hope that he didn't suffer too much in those last few hours of his life.

I know it might be strange to some people why I have written about this but life is life, no matter what it is - human, animal or plant and everything in one's home becomes part of our lives. I believe that we're all responsible for life around us including our greater surroundings and ultimately the Earth and that it's SO important for each of us to make our own contributions to a better life on a daily basis.  However small your contribution is it has a ripple effect and ultimately helps make the world a better place. :))
